Grind Size Particle Analyzer
Determine the precise output of your grinder! This tool allows you to analyze and define the ideal grind size for specific coffee beans to achieve the perfect espresso or filter coffee.
Depending on your setting (espresso or filter), use the discs with the corresponding hole sizes.
Assembly: Start with a solid (closed) disc at the bottom, then stack the perforated discs on top in ascending order (smallest holes at the bottom, largest at the top). Secure the stack, pour the coffee grounds onto the top perforated disc, and place the second solid disc on top as a lid. Shake and tap the device vertically for about 2 minutes to allow the particles to migrate down through the sieves.
Afterward, unscrew the stack and weigh the amount of coffee on each disc. Enter the weight (in grams) for each hole size into the diagram (see download below). This visualizes exactly which particle sizes your grinder produces and in what quantity. By repeating this process with different grind settings, you can see how consistent your grinder is (particle distribution). For roasters, this is an essential tool to provide precise grind size recommendations for their specific beans.
