Handle technology, espresso tamper with adjustable contact pressure
At JoeFrex we have been wondering for a long time how we can achieve a consistent result when pressing ground coffee. After much trial and error, our founder and inventive genius Jörg Rexroth came up with the prototype of the pressure-regulated tamper. As the first on the market to offer such a technical tamper, many coffee lovers and professional baristas quickly came who were enthusiastic about the idea and its implementation. We have been selling our pressure-regulated technology tamper to many cafés, bars, baristas and coffee enthusiasts in various households for almost 15 years now. The idea and implementation of a tamper, which always compresses the coffee grounds into a smooth, even surface with the same perfect pressure, has revolutionized the espresso world in a small way. This improved solution to a normal coffee tamper offers many coffee lovers the opportunity to quickly and effortlessly achieve perfect results with the tamper and thus optimize the espresso workflow.
With our tamper handle technology, a precisely calibratable pressure result can always be achieved, as the coffee grinder presser is triggered automatically when the previously set maximum pressure is reached. Depending on the type and type of coffee used as well as the grinding level setting of the coffee grinder, the maximum pressure can be set constantly within a setting range of 8 kg to 21 kg.
The entire handle body of the coffee grinder press is made of high-quality aluminum. The base, the shaft and the compression springs are made of stainless steel. A rubber buffer is integrated between the base and the handle for optimal cushioning.
Care and handling: The pressure is adjusted using the adjustment screw fixed in the core. Please do not adjust the two side hexagon socket screws! The tamper can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but must NOT be put in the dishwasher! To better lubricate the shaft, a drop of fine machine oil can be added from above from time to time.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The numbers on the central screw scale (12 - 16 - 20, etc.) do not represent a reliable or accurate indication in kilograms, but are only intended to make previous or current settings easier to remember. The exact fine calibration of the trigger mechanism should be carried out through repeated trial and error until the individually desired or ideal force setting is found.
