This knock box model Metal M is a knock box mix that is used both in private households and in bars, restaurants or small cafes. It has a capacity of 2.5 liters, which is more than twice as much as a classic knock box. In this respect, the dimensions and capacity bridge the gap between bars etc. and private households. In private households, the coffee grounds container needs to be changed no more than once a week, which of course depends on the amount of coffee consumed - the bottom of the knock box is lined with rubber so that all impacts from the portafilter are reliably absorbed and the table surface is not damaged.
The aluminum rod is used for stability and can withstand pretty much anything that can happen in a cafe or kitchen. It can easily withstand impacts from a portafilter. The black silicone gives the tee bar the cushioning properties that you would expect from a tee box in this price segment. The rubber hose is characterized by being soft enough to hold the tee box.
The silicone is of course made of food-safe material. The black silicone absorbs the impact and so the filter holder can be knocked away with a lot of force without anything happening.
Recycling of the coffee pucks
The collected coffee pucks can be collected in the tee container for later recycling. The used coffee is ideal for fertilizing plants or adding to compost. Dried coffee pucks, on the other hand, can be burned at the next barbecue or simply in the fireplace in the evening.
