Light Muscovado is the classic among the natural, unrefined cane sugars, which are produced in the old traditional way from sugar cane in Mauritius. The light brown, soft moist sugar has small sugar crystals and a warm honey color due to its aromatic syrup residue. It impresses with its taste thanks to a round range of brittle and toffee tones. Light Muscovado gives coffee and tea as well as caramel sauces and desserts such as tiramisu a unique dimension. Wet sugar can dry out due to its natural nature. If the sugar has become too hard for you, simply place a damp cloth over it overnight and the sugar will soften again.
